When I saw this couple making their way up the stairs, I immediately sensed a photo opportunity. As they moved up, I moved sideways, tracking their ascent to ensure they would be perfect framed between both buildings.
Rather than use burst mode, I captured just one frame. The key with photos like this is anticipation. Therefore I reasoned that it would be better to focus all my attention on just one frame.
The clean architectural lines of the 5th City Gate project lend themselves well to minimalist, black and white photography. I reckon this place would also look good during a colourful sunrise or sunset due to the construction materials used.
